The Grand Hotel in Copenhagen, with its classical Parisian- style décor, chandeliers, and flowing drapes, stands tall in the heart of the city, 300 meters from the Tivoli Gardens and the pedestrian shopping street of Stroget. The guest rooms have mahogany furnishings, color-coordinated fabrics, and marble bathrooms. Guest rooms are complete with cable television, pay movies, direct-dial phones, high-speed Internet access, minibars, and hairdryers.
Guests can take a break from touring Copenhagen to linger in the outdoor café at the Grand, where they can enjoy café lattes, cold beers, or light meals. The Restaurant Frascati, set within classic decor complete with wooden floors and white-linen tablecloths, serves classic Italian cuisine, as well as an a-la-carte menu, accompanied by a choice of 3000 wines.
After dinner, guests can relax with a nightcap at the Frascati Bar, read a newspaper, and relax in the quiet atmosphere. Before a day of sightseeing, guests can take advantage of the currency exchange and wake-up call services at the 24- hour front desk, or ask the concierge to recommend attractions or book theatre tickets. Guests can rent bicycles and explore the numerous cycle paths lining the city. Alternatively, the public transport system comprises the S-train metro rail network and HT bus system, and there is also an underground metro system. The hotel is surrounded by a wealth of attractions, with the Carlsberg Glyptotek and the Town Hall both 400 meters away, and the Amalienborg Castle, two kilometres away. Copenhagen Airport Kastrup is 10 kilometres, and there are direct trains to Copenhagen Central Station every 10 minutes.
Please Note: The Grand Hotel, Copenhagen, has 161 guestrooms, all of which have similar decor and design, and differ mainly in size only. Decorated in shades of cream, green, and blue, some rooms have marble bathrooms; some are tiled. Three floors of the hotel are designated non-smoking. 50 percent of the guestrooms have high-speed Internet access.
