Location. The Steigenberger Berlin, in Berlin, Germany is on Los Angeles Square in the city's center. Two blocks from the hotel is Kurfustendamm, Berlin's well-known theater and shopping street. Three blocks from the hotel is the Berlin Zoo. The Zoologischer Garten railway station (S-Bahn, U-Bahn) is three blocks from the hotel. Berlin Tegel Airport is 10 kilometers from the hotel.

Hotel Features. The lobby of the Steigenberger Berlin offers amenities that include complimentary newspapers.

The Berliner Stube restaurant offers international choices and traditional Berliner dishes for lunches and dinners.

The Destille is decorated with folk art by Jurgen Wolke. In summer months, The Destille offers outdoor seating with umbrella tables under lime trees facing Los-Angeles- Platz park. The late night menu includes light meals, coffee, tea and cakes. Garden-terrace seating is featured in summer months.

The hotel includes an indoor heated pool. In the summer, the lounge chairs can be moved outside onto a terrace. The pool area features a sauna, men's and women's locker rooms, a tanning bed (solarium), and a coffee/tea/juice bar serving light meals. Massage, body scrubs and wraps are available in private rooms next to the indoor pool. A fitness area adjacent to the pool contains cardio machines, free weights and a couch.

The business center includes a computer providing high-speed Internet access for a fee.

Guestrooms. The Steigenberger hotel offers 396 guestrooms in a seven story building. The guestrooms offer desks with complimentary wireless Internet access. The private tiled bathrooms feature twin-sink vanities and shower/tub combinations with heated tubs to keep water heated.

Expert Tip. The Zoologischer Garten Berlin opened on August 1, 1844, the first zoo in Germany. The zoo houses approximately 14,000 animals, including giant pandas. Please note:
The second floor will be closed for renovations from the 22nd June to 25th August 2008. There may be some noise disturbance to guests. Please contact the hotel for further details.
